Country: Iraq
Closing date: 15 Oct 2017
We are recruiting a new Country Director to lead the team, build the programme and bring a strong focus on innovation, advocacy and quality.
Programme priorities have been shaped by the waves of displacement that have occurred over the past three years, and as the shape of the conflict alters in Iraq we anticipate developing an approach which will respond to the recovery and rehabilitation of affected communities.
We have a close funding and programme relationship with our sister agency War Child Holland, and our new CD will participate in the journey to combine the two agencies’ programmes under one global structure.
The programme works with donors such as Dubai Cares, OCHA and the Dutch Government.
You will have experience of leading and motivating teams in unstable environments, excellent knowledge of regional politics and development trends, and a strong track record in resource mobilisation and effectively managing organisational growth whilst ensuring programme quality.
You will demonstrate experience of building programmes with a focus on accountability, and evidence of connecting programmes to wider advocacy agendas.
Our CD will represent War Child at the highest levels with donors, national authorities and agency counterparts.
