Our Programmes team in London provides crucial day to day support to our Country Programme, and a key part of this is the role of the Programme Funding team. We are looking for a candidate who can lead this team to ensure growth in our restricted grant funding, covering the crucial areas of project design and proposal development, strategic planning, donor networking and team management. The position is critical for War Child to realise its ambition of securing a new generation of larger, longer term institutional grant contracts and ensuring quality in our programming.
You will be well experienced in international development with an excellent knowledge of the ways of working of international NGOs from both country programme and head office perspectives. You will be familiar with the challenges of operating in the environments we work in and have a strong track record in securing institutional funding, including through consortia. You will be able to demonstrate how you have been able to grow and influence programme funding in previous roles, bringing to the role a network of donor and peer agency contacts, and setting strategy for programme funding growth. We are hiring a creative team manager, able to work with diverse teams, accommodate competing demands, and support the development of team members.
