This consultancy will aim at ensuring that the programmatic gender component designed by War Child UK is robust and supported by best practices and lessons learnt and is therefore able to inform future practices in the field of gender-based violence.
The consultancy will aim to:
• Develop a brief strategy paper highlighting how GBV programming is in line with War Child Theory of Change and what are the areas of priorities in GBV programming
• Map current activities and best practices for the prevention of, and response to, GBV within War Child UK programming with a focus on Iraq, DRC and CAR
• Revise, consolidate and improve existing training materials at country level for field staff
• Develop terms of reference for GBV focal points at HQ level
• Provide training to GBV focal points at HQ level on basic principles of GBV
• Present to a wider audience at HQ level, the key GBV interventions occuring in country alongside the brief strategy paper
