Organization: War Child UK
Closing date: 10 Oct 2021

You will be at the heart of the Fundraising and Communications team, driving innovation across War Child’s highly ambitious and successful fundraising operations. You will work with fundraising teams to identify opportunities and develop meaningful solutions that maintain the values, creativity and entrepreneurialism of War Child UK. You will report directly to the Head of Fundraising Engagement, maximising the potential of our fundraising through superb management of projects and opportunities. You will work across the whole of the fundraising department, coordinating and leading projects that are the envy of the sector in order to drive income and achieve our strategic goals.

You will have a unique role in the Fundraising and Communications team. You will work most closely with colleagues in Music and Comms and Content as currently this is where a lot of our project work and innovative activity is situated. However, your role will have an impact across the whole department and beyond fundraising as you lead teams of colleagues to deliver superb projects and genuinely innovative activities. A major part of your role will be working with your colleagues to assess new opportunities, understanding their strategic value and then developing and implementing high quality processes and systems to ensure their success. You will determine appropriate resourcing; project team make up and work with relevant people in fundraising teams to support delivery. Sometimes you will facilitate superb management of projects and opportunities, and at other points you will be directly responsible for their success. Your role will be both proactive and reactive, ensuring the projects you deliver, or support, are generating income or adding value to existing income streams. You will also lead our Innovation and Data and Insight resources, facilitating the use of both to ensure our fundraising remains forward-thinking and highly effective. Whilst your remit is wide, your role is a fundraising role and you will be responsible for delivering income and enabling our strategic growth. You will support the Head of Fundraising Engagement on the overall Fundraising Engagement strategy and work directly with the Director of Fundraising and Communications on department performance and ensuring that the Fundraising Directorate remains successful, ambitious, high performing and innovative.

This role is open to flexible working including compressed hours, part-time hours and flexi-time. Our office is in Kentish Town (NW5). This role is open to occasional homeworking or can be based at home.

Our work with children and at-risk adults to keep them safe is the most important thing we do. We are committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults in all areas of our work.
